We All Have Different Talents and Abilities

When we were born, we brought these talents and abilities with us (see chapter 2 in this book, "Our Heavenly Family"). Each of us has been given at least one special talent.


We Should Use and Improve Our Talents

Our Heavenly Father has said it is up to us to receive the gifts he has given us (see D&C 88:33). This means we must develop and use our talents.  

Sometimes the Lord gives us weaknesses so we will work hard and overcome them. Because we are mortal and fallen, we have weaknesses. With his help, our weaknesses and fallen nature can become our strengths can be overcome (see Ether 12:27).
